Mark Grace is the firm's managing partner and is a trial lawyer with substantial experience litigating a wide array of complex and general commercial disputes in both state and federal courts. Over the past several years, Mark's practice has become heavily concentrated in patent infringement litigation and non-compete and trade secret issues. Mark has considerable litigation and trial experience having served as lead trial counsel in jury and non-jury trials, preliminary injunction hearings, and domestic and international arbitration, and has argued cases at both the federal and state appellate court levels.
Mark has been practicing law since 1996. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University in 1983, and subsequently his Master of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State. Mark earned his Juris Doctor degree with honors in 1996 from The George Washington University. He began his legal practice with the Washington D.C. law firm of Winston & Strawn representing and advising nuclear electric utilities on regulatory compliance, licensing, and federal legislation and enforcement matters. After moving back to Pittsburgh, he was an attorney with Cipriani & Werner from 1998 – 1999 and joined one of Pittsburgh's largest firms, Cohen & Grigsby, in 1999 as an associate and became a Director (partner) at Cohen & Grigsby in 2004. In 2008, he and David Cohen, one of his partners from Cohen & Grigsby, established the firm of Cohen & Grace, LLC.
